Volcengine has launched the API for Seedream 5.0 Pro, the latest image generation model from its Doubao AI assistant. Unlike traditional AI tools that rely solely on text prompts, this model offers pixel-level local editing. Designers can click or lasso a specific area in an image and directly adjust its position, replace materials, or separate layers — without needing to regenerate the entire picture.
The model also significantly improves complex layouts and text rendering, automatically generating dense information graphics like science comics and intricate PowerPoint slides. Portrait and lighting quality have been enhanced, realistically reproducing skin texture and environmental reflections. For international use, Seedream 5.0 Pro supports direct generation of text in over a dozen languages, including Spanish and Arabic, ensuring proper writing and formatting aligned with local conventions.
