Doubao, ByteDance's AI assistant, is bringing remote work to its desktop agent. The latest update officially puts "work tasks" on your phone: you can assign a job, check on progress, and adjust instructions from anywhere while your computer does the execution. The local agent previously required you to be sitting at your desk — now you can dispatch it from the road.
Once you grant permission, Doubao can operate your local computer and browser, read and organize files, and tap into Skills, the Office suite, and scheduled tasks. So you can step out, fire off a one-line command from your phone, and your home PC will keep sorting materials, crunching spreadsheets, building a presentation, or working through web tasks.
