AI chip and infrastructure startup SambaNova has closed the first $1 billion of its Series F funding round, pushing its post-money valuation to $11 billion. The round is led by General Atlantic, with participation from Seligman Ventures, T. Rowe Price, and Capital Group.
Separately, the company announced that JPMorgan Chase has chosen SambaNova's RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit) chip system for secure, on-premise AI inference. The RDU is SambaNova's proprietary dataflow processing chip designed for enterprise deployment — it keeps sensitive data from ever leaving the building.
The new capital will go toward expanding production, product development, and scaling deployments across enterprises, cloud providers, and sovereign AI initiatives.
