ByteDance is pulling its scattered AI office products into one basket: Doubao.
The TRAE and Coze (扣子) teams will be fully absorbed into Doubao, ByteDance's AI assistant. TRAE Work and Coze's office capabilities will be integrated into Doubao, while TRAE IDE and CLI remain as Doubao's programming product line. Product and operations teams will now report to Zhao Qi, Doubao's head.
The bigger news is "Doubao Work." ByteDance could launch this standalone AI office product as soon as this week, positioning it as the company's unified office product and brand.
This consolidation has been building for a while. At the end of July, Feishu's product team merged with Doubao's product team. Soon after, Feishu aily was renamed "Doubao Work..."
