X's developer team has published a full configuration guide showing users how to equip Nous Research's open-source terminal-based AI agent Hermes with the xurl skill. Once loaded, you can use plain spoken commands to let the agent manage your X account — telling it to post, search, fetch bookmarks, or manage lists in a single sentence.

To get this fully automated tweeting pipeline running, you'll need to register an app on the X Developer Platform, grab OAuth 2.0 credentials, and authorize them locally. On the inference side, the underlying models come from xAI, so you'll need an active SuperGrok subscription to call the Grok family of models.
xurl is itself a standalone command-line client for the X API. When you type "extract all bookmarks" in the terminal, Hermes translates that into an xurl command behind the scenes, runs it, then intercepts the raw JSON the API spits out and scrubs it into clean, sourced text it hands back to you. Thanks to the agent's nature, it can also chain actions together: you can tell it to search a topic, summarize the results, draft a reply, and post it — all in one conversation.
