xAI's terminal-based coding agent Grok Build has introduced a /goal autonomous mode that lets you execute multi-step engineering tasks with a single command. Just type /goal followed by your objective (like /goal Migrate the auth module to the new API) and the agent automatically plans a path, generates a checklist, and loops through code modification and testing until the goal is reached.
While it's running, you can use /goal status to check progress, /goal pause to pause, /goal resume to resume, and /goal clear to terminate. When the task is complete and verified, the panel status switches to Complete.
