The open-source project LoopX just hit 1.0, and the pitch is simple: it sits on top of coding agents like Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor and pulls the long-running work that used to be scattered across separate sessions into a single workbench.
One page shows every task connected to LoopX — what's actively running, what's waiting for your confirmation, what's being watched continuously, and what's scheduled for later. Dig into a specific project and you can see each agent's to-dos, completion history, files, and running state.
The workbench opens right in your browser, and there are desktop versions for macOS and Windows. Both entry points share the same local service and task state. It won't automatically read every agent on your computer; it only surfaces the agents and tasks that have actually registered with LoopX.
Multiple agents can also team up on the same goal. They can claim their own tasks, run in parallel, and even hand off to one another — one agent finishes and leaves a follow-up task, then the next agent picks it up. That collaboration is powered by shared tasks and state, not by letting a bunch of agents shoot the breeze in a chat room.
