Nous Research is adding /loop to Hermes Agent, so you can tell the agent to keep repeating the same task in the current session — watch CI, check deployment status, or keep fixing code until tests pass. Each trigger is a full agent execution that re-reads the latest state.
You can pick the interval yourself, or hand the frequency over to Hermes. Adaptive mode checks every minute by default; if results stay unchanged for a few rounds, it backs off to 2, then 4, then 8 minutes, maxing out at 15. The moment something changes, it snaps back to one-minute checks.
Loops can also have a count and stop conditions. The agent can decide when the task is done, or you can use /loop --until to have an extra Judge check whether a condition is met. By default, it pauses after 100 runs — a practical safeguard against burning tokens while nobody's watching.
The feature is a direct follow-up to Claude Code's /loop, and even the /proactive alias is compatible. But /loop only runs inside the current session, so it's best for short-term work like watching a deploy or waiting for a task to finish. For overnight jobs or tasks that need to survive a terminal restart, Nous still points you to Cron.
