Warp Factories turn Claude Code and Codex into a self-running pipeline

August 19, 2026 | Source: t | AI, Developer | 108 views 0 comments

AI terminal tool Warp is launching Factories, a feature that can chain together coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Warp Agent to work automatically. You set up the workflow first, and once a bug comes in, the agent can dig into the issue, patch the code, run tests, and finally open a pull request.

With more and more coding agents around, splitting up tasks, reviewing outputs, and keeping costs under control only gets messier. Factories brings all of that into one place.

The field is already filling up. Spotify's Xirp can manage multiple coding agents at once, while Databricks' Omnigent handles permissions, costs, and runtimes. Warp Factories, by contrast, puts the emphasis on automating the whole dev workflow end to end.

At bottom, the race isn't just about which coding agent is smarter — it's also about who's going to manage them all. That second question may even matter more.
