Kimi's new AI coworker Mira doesn't wait to be asked

Kimi, the AI assistant from Chinese startup Moonshot AI, has started beta testing a new AI coworker called Mira inside Feishu — and this one doesn't wait for you to ask.

Mira lives directly in Feishu, so there's no switching apps or opening new windows. Drop it into a project group and members can @-mention it like a human teammate to hand off tasks. In private chats, it can handle Q&A, writing, and to-do management.

It also works in the background: continuously organizing messages, running recaps, and checking in on a schedule. No one has to ask it to stay on top of things. Mira can track projects, remind people of tasks, and if someone sends feedback, it'll search the code and docs. When it confirms an actual code defect, it can fix the code and open a pull request on its own.

Privacy is built in: each group and each private chat is an isolated space, with context walled off by default. To let Mira read another group, you need to grant separate permission — and it only ever posts in the space it's in. Org admins can also centrally configure Skills, MCP, and global context.

The beta is Feishu-only right now and draws on Kimi Code membership model credits. The official recommendation is to use K3, and there's no option to plug in your own API key. And since Mira works proactively, it can keep burning through credits even when no one's asked it to do anything.
