Moonshot AI reorganizes for Hong Kong IPO

July 31, 2026 | Source: t | AI, Moonshot AI | 107 views 0 comments

Moonshot AI has changed its name to "Beijing Moonshot AI Technology Co., Ltd." and converted from a limited liability company to a non-listed joint-stock company — a move commonly known in China as a "share reform." Yang Zhiping becomes chairman and manager, Zhang Yutong joins the board as a director, and Song Sijia takes on the role of financial officer.

The restructuring aligns with China Securities Regulatory Commission rules: any domestic company seeking a direct overseas listing must be a joint-stock company.

Bloomberg previously reported that Moonshot AI has circulated a shareholder resolution for a Hong Kong listing among investors, with an IPO potentially within six months. The company has also begun dismantling its variable interest entity (VIE) structure. Moonshot has not officially announced a timeline.
