Independent designer Marina Budarina is accusing Chinese AI startup Kimi of copying her interactive web page "CHIMES," renaming it "SILK ATLAS," and featuring it as an official template on the Kimi Swarm platform — all without permission or credit.
Budarina says Kimi lifted the entire page design, interaction effects, and copy, and didn't bother to attribute her as the original author. The original CHIMES site clearly displays her name and even credits the source of some physics effect code.
Many users who saw the template assumed Budarina had partnered with Kimi. Some even thought the work was originally created using Kimi's own tools.
As of now, Kimi has not publicly responded to the allegations.
