Hermes Agent turns boring cron jobs into interactive workflows

June 12, 2026 | Source: x | AI, Developer | 460 views 0 comments

Nous Research's AI agent framework Hermes Agent is launching Automation Blueprints — a feature that transforms traditional cron jobs into clickable, form-fillable, and conversational workflows.

The blueprints offer three trigger types: scheduled tasks, GitHub events, and API calls. You can use the /cron slash command or the hermes webhook subscribe directive to have the agent handle routine GitHub code reviews, dependency security audits, or document syncs. Reports and summaries can be sent to team chat tools like Telegram, Discord, and Slack, or delivered via email, GitHub comments, or written directly to local files.

Automation Blueprints are completely independent of the underlying large language model — you can switch to any compatible AI provider without getting locked in.
