Zhipu AI's coding agent ZCode is giving away 100 million GLM-5.3 tokens to new users this weekend. It just didn't count on that much demand.
The promotion began at midnight Beijing time on August 16 and was set to run through 9 a.m. on August 17. One hour in, ZCode announced it was pausing new grants of the 100 million tokens, citing demand that "exceeded expectations" and the need to adjust service capacity.
Tokens already claimed won't be affected, and the standard 3 million GLM-5.3 token newcomer bonus remains open. ZCode says it will resume the 100 million token giveaway once capacity is restored.
