Zhipu drops another anonymous model, Omen Alpha, days after GLM-5.3-Flash reveal

OpenCode has put yet another anonymous model on the board: Omen Alpha. This time, though, its cover may already be blown — OpenCode's own data page lists it directly under Zhipu. Zhipu hasn't officially claimed the model, nor has it said exactly which GLM variant this is.

That's just nine days after the last anonymous model was unmasked. Zhipu had been passing GLM-5.3-Flash off under the alias Ox Alpha, offering free tests on OpenRouter and OpenCode before officially revealing its identity on August 26 and releasing the model weights.

But this time, there's no free lunch. Omen Alpha is open only to OpenCode Go subscribers, who pay $10 per month and get $100 worth of Omen usage. The model is priced at $0.20 per million input tokens and $0.66 per million output tokens — roughly 30% higher than GLM-5.3-Flash's official pricing. With GLM-5.3-Flash currently discounted 50%, Omen Alpha works out to about 1.6 times as expensive at today's rates.

Omen Alpha's official spec sheet is still empty. OpenCode hasn't shared context length, input modalities, or maximum output. The community is already speculating that it could be a new GLM-5.x iteration or some branch of the Omni family.
