Zhipu AI's coding agent ZCode kicked off a weekend giveaway of 100 million GLM-5.3 tokens — and it lasted about an hour. New users who logged into ZCode for the first time would get 100 million tokens for AI-assisted programming, code changes, and agent tasks. The promo was supposed to run from midnight (Beijing time) on August 16 through 9 a.m. on August 17. Instead, ZCode announced it was pausing new token grants after just one hour, saying demand "exceeded expectations" while it worked to scale up capacity. Tokens already claimed will be unaffected. For regular new users, though, the free lunch is on hold.
