The tease went down on X, where someone asked Tang point-blank when GLM-5.3 would drop. His full response: "sooooooon."
Zhipu has been warming up to the launch for weeks. In late June, Tang publicly asked the developer community what the next GLM should get, and the loudest request was vision capabilities. By July, developers were already chatting about GLM-5.3 directly — Tang replied: "Ready? Haha."
