Tencent today began public testing of its in-house AI design agent platform, Ardot. The core idea: convert AI-generated designs into structured data and pipe them directly into an external IDE via MCP (Model Context Protocol).
On the design side, Ardot lets you batch-generate or modify vector interfaces using natural language, and it can import Figma files directly. To keep AI-generated graphics from going rogue, the platform allows companies to plug in their own private component libraries — so AI drafts stick to existing team design guidelines.
On the handoff side, design assets — complete with variables, components, and layout data — can be consumed by developer tools like CodeBuddy, Cursor, and Claude Code over MCP. Engineers can generate front-end code with a single click inside the IDE, replacing the old manual slice-and-annotate workflow.
The platform comes with an initial 1,000 Credits credit, and built-in multi-person review is available from day one.
