OpenAI has pulled off a three-person hiring spree in a single day, grabbing Linear's product lead and both Kairos Computer co-founders for its Codex and ChatGPT teams.
Nan Yu, who spent four years as Linear's product lead, announced the move. Manas Bam and Samarth Patel, the co-founders of Kairos Computer, also said they're joining. All three are heading to Codex and ChatGPT.
Kairos builds personal agents that can operate a computer directly. It gives an agent a cloud computer, where it can log into websites, operate a browser and software, and complete tasks across apps. Bam and Patel said they started Kairos to build "a personal AGI for everyone," and now they're going to OpenAI to continue that work.
