Nous Research announced that its Hermes Agent has topped the OpenRouter global app token usage chart today.
According to the latest OpenRouter rankings, Hermes Agent leads with 271 billion tokens. It's followed by OpenClaw (245 billion), Kilo Code (149 billion), and Claude Code (79.2 billion).
The top four spots are all personal agent and CLI programming tools, highlighting developers' and power users' appetite for coding and automation agents — the same demand driving OpenAI's Codex, which recently gained the ability to control browsers via a Chrome extension. Audio/video editing tool Descript ranks fifth with 48.9 billion tokens. Nous Research said its journey is just beginning and thanked community contributors and users.
