Hermes Agent gets async sub-agents and Stripe payment tools

Nous Research has announced two updates to its Hermes Agent framework: async sub-agents for background tasks and three Stripe payment skills.

Hermes Agent's Delegate Tool has been upgraded. When an agent spawns a sub-agent to perform a task, the main chat window no longer locks — users can continue conversing while the sub-agent runs.

Running hermes skills install directly installs three Stripe skills: stripe-link-cli for web shopping, mpp-agent for pay-per-use API calls, and stripe-projects for subscribing to SaaS services.

To ensure financial security, temporary transaction credentials are automatically cleaned up after use, and primary credentials are never logged in conversation history. All transactions require human approval, and spending limits can be configured.
