Google's Next Pro Model Spotted at First Checkpoint, October Release Expected

Leaker lyra says Google's next Pro model has already reached its first checkpoint — a saved snapshot during training — and it could debut publicly as soon as October.

In the same prediction, lyra expects a new Flash-Lite to arrive in September, alongside an update to Nano Banana 2 Lite. Exactly what the new Pro model will be called is still undecided: some in the community are guessing Gemini 4 Pro, while others think it could be another Pro variant.
