Tech blogger Gergely Orosz has spilled the tea on Google's internal promotion system, and it's not pretty. Employees only get promoted or rewarded for building brand-new products. Maintaining existing systems or helping old users migrate? That's viewed as career death. The result: Google keeps shipping new products for the same needs every year.

Developer Nathan Clark lists the carnage in Google's AI ecosystem. The model line is split into Pro, Ultra, and Flash — but why? The platform swings between Gemini and AI Studio, and the Workspace version is completely isolated from personal Google One accounts.
Developer tools are even worse. Google has simultaneously launched Spark (an agent-building platform), Jules (a coding assistant), and there's the confusing overlap between old and new versions of Antigravity IDE. Oh, and the original Gemini CLI? Dead. Video products Flow and Veo have fuzzy boundaries. Image generator Nano banana is stuffed into Gemini. Search and research features are split between a separate AI Mode and NotebookLM.
