Google has started giving college students a full year of its paid Google AI subscription for free.
Eligible students in the US can grab Google AI Pro, normally $19.99/month, which comes with 4x the Gemini usage of the free tier, 5TB of storage, and Gemini Spark. Students in more than 140 other countries get Google AI Plus, with 2x the Gemini usage and 400GB of storage.
The free year requires student verification and a payment method on file. Claims must be made by December 31, 2026. When the free period ends, the subscription auto-renews at the regular price unless you cancel. And if your 2025 student Pro trial in the US already expired, you can reapply this year.
