Ex-Huawei Pangu chief raises fresh funding to build agent-native models

Wang Yunhe, the former head of Huawei's Pangu large model, has raised another round for his startup Jiyuan Lvdong (Element Rhythm). The new financing values the company at several hundred million dollars and brings total funding to tens of millions, with Honghui Fund leading the round.

Jiyuan Lvdong's core product is a 'Routing Harness' that automatically picks and switches between different models while an agent works. Its OpenSquilla project has picked up around 6,400 stars on GitHub, and its multi-model API platform now has 54,000 users, with daily token volume topping 500 billion.

In benchmark results published by the company, a combination of Chinese-built models beat Fable 5 on the DRACO research benchmark at roughly one-third the cost.

Next, Wang plans to train his own models, using the real-world tasks, model choices, and user feedback accumulated by the Harness as training material. The goal is to move from helping agents pick the right model to building an Agent-Native Model.
