AI code editor Cursor just dropped an iOS native app in public beta, so developers can write code from their phones. No more being chained to a desk — just pick a repo, speak or type your idea, and an AI assistant runs in the cloud 24/7. It tests code, generates merge requests, and if you need to control a home or office computer, you can do that remotely too.
To make the mobile experience smoother, Cursor integrated Apple’s Live Activities for lock-screen notifications. When the AI finishes a task, needs human confirmation, or has a merge request ready, your lock screen lights up. You can preview generated webpages, screenshots, and code diffs right on your phone, and even merge with one tap.
The iOS app is live for all paid users. Until July 5, running the core Composer 2.5 model via the app costs just 75% off — a 2.5折 discount.
