Leaker Ali Haider claims Anthropic is discussing making Claude Fable 5 a permanent perk for paid subscribers. The company reportedly worries that removing the model could trigger a wave of cancellations — especially with competitive pressure from GPT-5.6 Sol and Grok 4.5 looming.

Anthropic has already extended Fable 5 subscription access to July 19th, and simultaneously pushed out a 50% boost to Claude Code weekly quotas. Users can still put up to half their weekly allowance toward Fable 5.
The company previously only promised to restore Fable 5 as a standard subscription feature once compute capacity allowed. There's been no official announcement about making it permanent.
