OpenAI, SpaceXAI, and Anthropic all revealed or were reported to have major compute plans on the same day. Add up the gigawatts they’ve announced, and you get at least 6.2GW.
OpenAI is building Project Camellia in Georgia. The project will draw 3.2GW of power, with delivery scheduled in phases from 2028 to 2032.
SpaceXAI is preparing to build at least one large data center in Texas. It could match or exceed its Memphis facility, which is around 1GW. Locations are still being scouted and planned.
Anthropic signed a deal with AMD to deploy up to 2GW of MI450 systems. The first 1GW is expected to launch in the first half of 2027. AMD will also invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic, tied to deployment milestones.
