Manus is splitting from Meta. Less than eight months after the acquisition, the company says it's returning to independent operation — and for users in some regions, that means their data is moving too.
Data generated after December 29, 2025 must be backed up before August 23, or it will be deleted. Users won't be able to import it back until August 25. Affected users will also lose access to Manus for two days: August 23 and 24. Backups won't cost anything during the transition.
The company insists this isn't a security incident. It's part of separating from Meta and meeting regulatory requirements in some regions.
