Grok Imagine's video-creation agent is getting an upgrade to version 1.5 — and no, it's not the same one you might remember from June.
That earlier release, Grok Imagine Video 1.5, updated the underlying video model. This new one targets the agent layer on top. Grok Imagine Video 1.5 has been live since June, so the company is now refreshing the thing that actually directs it.
The new agent layer integrates the latest Image 2.0 and focuses on generation quality, narrative, and multi-shot continuity. Grok says the agent is better at stringing multiple shots together so the visuals stay consistent across scene changes. It's rolling out now on Grok's web app, iOS, and Android.
On Arena's Text-to-Video leaderboard, grok-imagine-video-1.5-agent currently holds the No. 5 spot with a score of 1491, putting it ahead of Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, and MiniMax H3. That ranking is still marked Preliminary, though, so it could shift as more votes roll in.
