At I/O 2026, Google announced a major overhaul of its AI subscription lineup (Plus, Pro, Ultra). The company is introducing a $100/month Ultra tier aimed at developers and power users, cutting the price of its top-tier Ultra plan to $200, and bundling YouTube Premium and other high-value perks across multiple tiers.
The new $100/month AI Ultra plan targets developers and technical leads, offering 20TB of cloud storage, 5x the compute quota of the Pro tier in Gemini and Google Antigravity, and a free individual YouTube Premium subscription. Meanwhile, the top-tier Ultra subscription drops from $250 to $200 per month, still offering 20x Pro's compute quota and exclusive early access to cutting-edge features like Project Genie, a 3D world-building prototype. Both Ultra tiers will be the first to get Gemini Spark, a 24/7 cloud agent that runs tasks even when your phone is locked, starting next week.
To broaden its appeal, Google is pushing core tech and lifestyle perks down the stack. All subscription tiers — Plus, Pro, and Ultra — will get access to the new Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5 Flash models, plus rolling out features like AI Inbox (which extracts to-dos and drafts replies) and a Daily Brief agent in the US. On the non-AI front, the ad-free YouTube benefit is no longer exclusive to high-end subscribers: the $19.99/month Pro plan now includes a free YouTube Premium Lite subscription (normally $8.99/month).
