Google's Gemini 3.5 Pro is reportedly arriving on August 10 — at least according to leaker Dan, who initially pointed to August 12 before quietly shifting the date a few hours later.
Google originally said back in May that the Pro model would ship in June. That didn't happen. By July 21, the company would only say the model was being tested with partners and would be released as soon as it's ready. The delay, it seems, has something to do with coding performance that didn't hit internal targets.
Dan's take? The new model will be strong overall, but it may not clearly outclass what Anthropic and OpenAI are shipping.
