Alibaba's video-generation model HappyHorse-1.0 is now publicly available, with the official website offering both video generation and editing tools. The platform is described as an AI video creation service that "turns inspiration into reality."
To celebrate the launch, Alibaba is running a HappyTime promotion: from April 27 at 6:00 PM to May 10 at 6:00 PM (Beijing time), all generation is 30% off, with additional discounts for members. According to the site, a monthly subscription brings the cost of generating a 720p, 5-second video down to as little as 2.2 yuan (about $0.30). New users get 66 free credits upon registration.
HappyHorse previously appeared under an anonymous name on the Artificial Analysis AI Video Arena leaderboard, where it scored highly in text-to-video and image-to-video categories. Multiple media outlets later linked it to Alibaba's ATH innovation division — joining a crowded field that includes platforms like ComfyUI, which recently raised $30M to productionize AI video workflows.
