Qwen Office hits 30 million users after 120 updates in its first month

On September 4, Alibaba Cloud was ready to celebrate Qwen Office's first month — and it came bearing numbers. The service has crossed 30 million users, more than half of them enterprise customers, and it hasn't exactly been lounging around: 120 version updates in 30 days, an average of four a day, plus over a thousand features. The international version is now out, too.

Qwen Office has also open-sourced its context foundation. That infrastructure, called MyContext, is meant to turn the sprawling, heterogeneous mess of real work data into context that agents can directly consume. A few weeks after open-sourcing, it already has more than 3,000 stars on GitHub. With deep integrations into DingTalk and other IM platforms, Qwen Office reaches into information scattered across messages, documents, approvals, email, and knowledge bases, and reshapes it into organizational context that agents can understand and act on. Say a phrase in DingTalk, and an Agent can hop across CRM and ERP, pull up a customer, check inventory, and make a recommendation.

The office push also includes a model. Qwen Office and the Qwen large-model team introduced Qwen3.8-Flash, an office-specific version with targeted optimization for multi-step planning, tool selection, and context compression. Inference refinements and a custom Harness architecture help with throughput. In real office scenarios, Alibaba Cloud says single-task generation speed is up about 100%, and token consumption drops by an average of 75%.
