Stability AI, the developer behind AI image generator Stable Diffusion, has raised $76 million in a Series B round, bringing its total funding to $232 million. Backers include Universal Music Group, Sony Music Group, Warner Music Group, Electronic Arts, AMD Ventures, and Pacific Alliance Ventures.
Founded in 2019, Stability spent the past year signing deals with entertainment companies to bring generative AI into their creative pipelines. It partnered with Universal Music and EA in October, then inked a deal with Warner Music in November — both structured as joint development efforts.
