OpenAI has teamed up with keyboard maker Work Louder to release the Codex Micro, a mini keyboard designed specifically to control its Codex programming agent. It costs $230, is available for limited preorder, and is expected to ship on July 24th.
The device features 13 mechanical keys, a joystick, a knob, and touch sensors. The key backlighting indicates whether the agent is thinking, running, waiting, or finished. The joystick can trigger code review, debugging, and refactoring, while the knob adjusts the inference intensity.
