Elon Musk says the vast trove of top-tier engineering data accumulated by SpaceX will be used to supplement the training of xAI's new 2-trillion-parameter model. Sensitive materials restricted by the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) will not be included.
Musk previously stated that the model will complete its initial training this week and will outperform the 1.5-trillion-parameter Grok 4.5 in every aspect, potentially surpassing the recently released Kimi K3.
His goal is to enhance the new model's capabilities while maintaining generation speed and token efficiency close to Grok 4.5. With the addition of real-world SpaceX engineering data, Musk expects Grok's engineering abilities to improve dramatically.
