Anthropic's agent app Claude Cowork is no longer a desktop-only affair — it's now rolling out to web browsers, iOS, and Android.
Previously, Cowork only ran while your computer was online; shut the lid or lose connection, and your tasks would grind to a halt. Now, everything runs in the cloud. You can set up a scheduled task, close your laptop, and let the agent keep working in the background.
When the agent hits a decision point — say, analyzing financial reports or sorting through contracts — it sends a push notification to your phone. Until you tap "approve" on that notification, it won't send emails or publish anything. That's a smart failsafe for when you're away from your desk.
The beta will open to Max subscribers in the coming weeks, and Anthropic is extending its double usage credit promotion for Cowork through August 5th.
