Apple Intelligence Completes China Filing, Moves Closer to Launch

China's cyberspace regulator has published a new batch of approved generative AI services for mobile devices, and Apple Intelligence is on the list. Alongside it: Huawei's Xiaoyi AI, OPPO's AndesGPT, vivo's BlueHeart on-device model, Xiaomi's Hyper AI, Samsung's Galaxy AI, and Nubia's Doubao phone model — all filed on July 8.

Apple Intelligence was filed under the entity Apple Technology Development (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Filing is a crucial regulatory step for launching AI features in China, but it doesn't guarantee immediate availability.
