AI company Anthropic is about to finalize a $15 billion revolving credit facility, clearing a significant hurdle before it publicly files a much-anticipated IPO in the US, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter. The facility would be far larger than the company's early target of about $10 billion and a big step up from the $2.5 billion five-year revolver Anthropic secured last year.
Morgan Stanley is leading the facility, with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Citigroup taking significant roles; those same four banks are the lead underwriters on Anthropic's IPO, and Barclays and Wells Fargo are also expected to play key parts.
The amount Anthropic raises from its IPO could be on par with or exceed SpaceX, people familiar with the matter said. Anthropic's annualized revenue is already over $65 billion, though the IPO's exact size and the credit facility's details may still change.
