Well-known AI watcher Andrew Curran has reported that Anthropic has completed training a significantly more powerful version of its Mythos model. It's not yet clear whether it will be branded as Mythos 5.1 or Mythos 6 — or if Anthropic will keep it internal to accelerate further development.

Meanwhile, the developer community is buzzing after a model ID named claude-sonnet-5 appeared on an Anthropic partner service provider platform. Many now expect Sonnet 5 to launch as early as this week.
