Alibaba just pulled the plug on its internal competition. The company is merging three of its core AI agent products into a single, unified offering. The new product is built on QoderWork, a desktop AI agent tool, and deeply integrates DingTalk-born enterprise collaboration agent "Wukong" and MuleRun, an agent execution engine originally incubated inside Alibaba Cloud. The combined product will be led by Chen Yusen, the 29-year-old newly appointed president of DingTalk and head of the Wukong business unit, who took over in June 2026.
The consolidation marks the end of Alibaba's "internal horse racing" strategy in enterprise AI — a shift from scattered experimentation to focused breakthrough. QoderWork, the foundation, is already Alibaba's most active AI product by daily active users and token usage.
