Unlike typical AI agents, Poetic builds high-precision automation software for large enterprises to handle messy business processes like fraud investigation, insurance underwriting, and financial compliance. The team combines the flexibility of AI with the determinism of traditional code: when the business environment stays stable, the system runs fixed, deterministic code for speed and cost efficiency. When things change, AI dynamically adjusts the execution to keep the task on track.
The results are striking. Poetic claims its system achieves over 99% accuracy on complex tasks that can run for hours, while consuming only one-tenth the tokens of traditional agent systems. Over the past year, the lean team of just four people grew annual recurring revenue from zero to eight figures (tens of millions of dollars). The system is already deployed at major financial and insurance firms including AIG, SoFi, and Chime. At SoFi, a large US bank, Poetic's anti-fraud system hit over 99% investigation quality within five weeks of deployment.
