Meta has quietly dropped a new experimental AI app called Pocket. Type a text prompt, and it generates an interactive "gizmo" — a mini-app or mini-game — that you can share and play in a TikTok-style scrolling feed.
The app is the first major product to come out of Meta's acquisition of the Gizmo team in early 2026. Gizmo was a vibe-coding app (letting people build software by describing it in natural language) that racked up over 600,000 downloads.
Pocket signals Meta's push to turn AI creation tools into mainstream social entertainment. The company has already rolled out AI image generation in its Meta AI app, an AI video maker called Vibes, and an AI assistant in its video editing app Edits.
