AI wearable startup Looki (光智时空) has closed a Series A1 round worth hundreds of millions of yuan, led by Yuan Sheng Capital with participation from existing backers BAI Capital, Zhongding Capital, and Alpha Startups.
The money will go toward multimodal model R&D, expanding its product lineup, and hiring.
Looki is positioning its wearable as more than just a lifelogger. Its PIE 2.0 engine uses real-world context, long-term memory, and personal preferences to predict what information or services the wearer needs next. Think of it as an AI recommendation engine for the physical world.
The company expects to ship around 100,000 units of its Looki L1 device over its entire lifecycle. Future hardware form factors are in the works, with the goal of becoming a personal smart portal.
