After opening connectors to everyone, xAI has launched a "Skills" system on grok.com for advanced automation tasks. The feature is currently limited to SuperGrok and SuperGrok Heavy subscribers, letting them configure Grok to edit files and perform other operations in a dedicated sandbox environment (an isolated virtual computer).
This rollout marks Grok's shift from a single-chat tool to a customizable, persistent workspace. Users can write custom skills using the built-in Skill Creator and invoke them mid-conversation with natural language commands like "Use the [skill name] skill and execute..."
