Anthropic just dropped a batch of connectors that let Claude reach into the tools designers and musicians use every day. The first eight connectors span 3D modeling, visual design, music production, and live performance, with partners that include Blender, Adobe, Autodesk, Ableton, Splice, Affinity by Canva, Resolume, and SketchUp.
The capabilities vary by tool. The Adobe connector hooks into over 50 Creative Cloud apps, including Photoshop, Premiere, and Express. Autodesk Fusion lets you create and modify 3D models with natural language. The Blender connector — built by the Blender team itself — uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the same open standard that powers tools like Parallel Search MCP. The Ableton connector taps into Live and Push's official documentation. Splice lets musicians search its royalty-free sample library directly from a Claude conversation. And the Resolume connector enables natural language control over live VJ visuals.
Anthropic also joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron, pledging at least €240,000 (about $281,000) per year — putting it alongside Netflix, Epic Games, and Wacom. Additionally, the company is teaming up with the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Ringling College of Art and Design, and Goldsmiths, University of London to develop AI creative courses.
