Anthropic just announced a massive H round: $65 billion in funding, pushing its post-money valuation to $965 billion. That makes it the most valuable AI startup on the planet, leapfrogging rival OpenAI.
The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia. And it's not just about the money — the business is booming. Earlier this month, the company's annualized revenue run rate crossed $47 billion. Enterprise clients are the rocket fuel, with more and more organizations embedding AI agents into core workflows.
The cash will go toward frontier research and expanding compute centers, to keep up with surging demand for the Claude model globally.
