To get developers hooked on its newly released flagship model Claude Fable 5, Anthropic just did something drastic: it reset every user's usage limits in Claude Code — wiping out both the 5-hour rolling window and the weekly cap.
Anthropic is also throwing a Build Day developer event in San Francisco on June 13, offering a total of $150,000 in API credits as prizes to encourage on-the-spot app building. Applications close June 12.
On the API side, the official SDK now includes an automatic fallback: if Fable 5's safety rules trigger a refusal, the system retries the request and seamlessly downgrades to the older Claude Opus 4.8, preventing client-side errors or crashes.
