Anthropic is quietly swapping out Claude's model — or at least starting to. According to community reports, the company has begun small-scale testing of a successor to Fable 5. Some Claude Web users who still have "Fable 5" selected may actually be running the new model in the background. Claude Code could also be part of the test.
The new model is believed to be Fable 5.1.
